Overview
Sew Stitch is a creative startup with a clear mission—to inspire creativity and bring joy to sewists of all skill levels. Through thoughtfully curated subscription boxes, members receive high-quality fabrics, tools, and exclusive tutorials that empower them to create unique projects while growing their confidence and passion for sewing.
Problem
To bring this vision to life, Sew Stitch needed a cohesive digital presence, a complete branding package, and custom packaging designs. This marked the first full branding project undertaken by my company, Arc Design Agency, making it essential that every element was both strategic and engaging. The brand needed to stand out, support a successful launch, and feel approachable to sewists of all skill levels. From a web perspective, the experience had to be airtight—intuitive, user-friendly, and built to scale. Sew Stitch required a website that supported customer logins, a blog, and a strong focus on customizable sewing options for customers.
Analysis and Planning
While Sew Stitch’s free Wix account created technical constraints, it also presented an opportunity to think creatively. I researched and implemented third-party plugins to support key functionality, including scheduling tools for classes and a customizable e-commerce setup. Sewing options were built with five to ten selectable add-ons, each tied to variable pricing to reflect customer choices in real time. The platform also needed to support paid classes with visible availability and easy scheduling. Beyond these primary features, I planned and designed the full site experience, ensuring the product store and additional pages remained intuitive and cohesive.

Design Phase
With a bold and inviting color palette as the foundation, I designed a playful yet purposeful interface that balanced visual interest with clarity. Brand textures and subtle shapes reinforced the identity, while carefully selected typography ensured readability across all devices.
Designing the customization flow was the most complex part of the project, as each sewing project type offered multiple configuration options and pricing variations. Despite the complexity, the final experience felt intuitive and empowering for users. Class scheduling presented its own challenges, but through thoughtful layout and plugin integration, customers could easily find, compare, and book classes. The result was a cohesive, engaging design that stayed true to the brand while prioritizing usability.
Solution and Results
By combining the branding and packaging designs led by my fellow designers with my web design, we created a cohesive and engaging launch experience for Sew Stitch. Together, the work positioned the business to confidently enter the market and build momentum from day one. While the project is still in development, early user testing with a focus group revealed only minor pain points, all of which were easy to address ahead of launch. The positive feedback validated both the creative direction and usability of the platform, and I’m excited to see how the brand and business continue to grow.

Branding and Packaging Design
Through extensive iteration, the Arc Design team developed a logo that felt playful, recognizable, and true to the Sew Stitch brand. A custom animation elevated the mark, while the stitch-inspired pattern reinforced the craft and creativity behind the product. Packaging designs pushed the brand further by combining bold color, texture, and the stitched visual language to create a memorable unboxing experience that immediately stands out at the customer’s door.
